Welcome to Madill Dance Center

Madill Dance Center is Duluth’s premiere dance training center, offering competitive and recreational dance classes for students of all ages and abilities!

We also offer theatre opportunities, musical training, and voice lessons.

Owners Jennifer Madill Hagen and Dustin Hagen are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of dance training in all disciplines of dance. They’re proud to employ Duluth’s more dynamic dance instructors. Madill’s core group of teachers keep the dance programming edgy, fun and challenging. And each year, new professional or  accomplished dancers—each with very different talents—are brought in to share their own unique styles.

Students love to perform in our year-end recitals, held at the DECC and Denfeld High School’s fabulous auditorium. Students also have the option to participate in festivals, competitions and parades.

Our three-studio facility is conveniently centrally located in the Lincoln Park Business District, on Superior Street & 22nd Ave. W.  Ample parking is available on either side of the building.

Madill Dance Center is a family-owned business, with roots in Duluth…but inspired by New York City. Jenn and Dusty grew up in Duluth, but left to follow their dreams. Jennifer has a BFA in Dance and Musical Theater from Marymount Manhattan College, in New York City.  Dustin Hagen earned a BA in Musical Theater from New York City’s American Musical & Dramatic Academy. As well, each performed in numerous off-Broadway musicals and dance shows. Eventually, a new dream took shape.

In 1999, Jenn and Dusty returned to Duluth, with the dream of building a dance studio, starting a family, and creating a community of talented, young performers. They are now the proud parents of two young boys, and the new owners of a 7000-sq. ft. studio that houses Madill Dance Center.
